Women of Webster Five: Tara

Webster Five is celebrating Women’s History Month by highlighting some of the incredible women who make up our bank! This week’s spotlight is Tara in our Customer Contact Center.

 

How did you get into the banking/finance industry?

I was introduced to banking after 15 years as a stay-at-home mom.  When I decided it was time to go back to work, a friend recommended that I apply for a teller position at the Thompson Road branch.

 

Why did you choose Webster Five?

I had interviewed at another banking institution but chose Webster Five because of supportive feeling I received in my interview. That feeling of support and guidance is still present today and ultimately the reason I have chose to stay in banking here at Webster Five. I feel lucky to be a part of a company that truly cares and appreciates their employees.

 

Why do you choose to stay in your field?

The best part of working in our Contact Center is building relationships with customers while assisting them with their banking needs.

 

What advice would you give to women looking to grow in their career or break into their desired field?

The best advice that I could give is to be brave and take chances. Embrace change — it’s inevitable. Be honest and true to yourself.
