Women of Webster Five: Kathleen

Webster Five is celebrating Women’s History Month by highlighting some of the incredible women who make up our bank! This week’s spotlight is Kathleen in our Customer Contact Center.

How did you get into the banking/finance industry?

At the time, my daughter was young, and I was working a job with crazy hours. I wanted something with better hours and saw Webster Five was hiring. I was always interested in banking and decided I wanted to make a change.

Why did you choose Webster Five?

My mom opened accounts for me and my siblings with Webster Five when we were kids. I did my banking here, and it seemed like a great place to work.

Why do you choose to stay in your field?

I enjoy working with customers and being able to assist them with various needs. During the time I have worked at Webster Five, I have met and worked with a lot of wonderful people.

Right now, I work with a great group of women in my department, and we are always there to help and support each other.

What advice would you give to women looking to grow in their career or break into their desired field?

I would say follow your dreams and never give up! Don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot succeed. Stay true to yourself and don’t let anyone try to change who you are.
